Licia Atelier New York Post Review
Brazilian Designer Licia Hanshaw
crafts jewelry from charms, icons and found objects that tell a story.
The necklaces, Lariats, bracelets, earrings in her Licia Atelier line are made as much
for wearing as they are for conversation.
Crosses and skulls are featured along with pearls and antiques for an inspired look that borders on romantic Goth.
Facets is internationally recognized by customers for its outstanding collection of
timeless brands and luxury jewelry. The new store will display over 100 distinct designers from all
over the world including: Kurilla Design, Gene Davidov, Ted Rossi, Licia Atelier, Mia Lara,
Annie Moran, David Tishbi, Yvone Christa, Jonathan Mondesir, Ithil, Natalie Frigo, Robindira Unsworth.
Despite eccentric fashion, it is difficult for men to really stick out in a crowded club.
Jewelry may offer some assistance. Most pieces had the Star of David or the Fleur de Lis Crucifix.
With sterling silver and onyx, Licia Atelier designs each religious symbol into a necklace
for rebels ($150-$220). After all, in New York City, it is known that guys that dress like
nice guys always finish last. -Tanya Benedicto

From the catwalk like entrance to the fully equipped D.J. booth, it’s clear why Lounge is a favorite
among red-carpet celebrities like Usher, Diddy, Kate Hudson, and Naomi Campbell.
Owner Jack Menashe describes his 16,000-square-foot space as “Soho’s only designer and lifestyle emporium”—
in simpler terms, this means men’s and women’s specialty denim, big-name fashion labels,
and whatever "It" brand the celebs are currently sporting. If the clothing doesn’t get your blood pumping,
the D.J. will; in fact, record-spinning aficionados from around the city come here to
scope out some of the hottest and rarest house and world music in circulation.
Accessories, including men’s and women’s jewelry, are limited to handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces
and includes both rock-and-roll styles from designers such as Prince Ferdinand
and more romantic pieces by names like Licia Atelier.
The entire lower level is devoted to shoes, showcasing everything from specialty sneakers by Gola to
sexy stilettos by Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui. Befitting its name, the Casablanca Tea Room
at the back of serves an exotic selection of cocktails, teas, and tapas for a relaxing pause
amid such head-spinning activity.
